How We Make Money

SkillLinkup is a free resource with freelance platform comparisons, guides and a marketplace in private beta. We currently have no affiliate agreements, and no platform pays us when you visit it or sign up.

During the private beta, SkillLinkup does not earn money from the platforms it compares or from its marketplace.

How Links to Platforms Work

Links to a platform take you straight to its official website. We receive nothing for the click or for an account you create there.

If we ever join an affiliate programme, we will update this page first and label each paid link where it appears.

Our Editorial Independence

Because no platform pays us, no platform can buy a better place on SkillLinkup. We keep it that way:

• We do not give platforms scores or star ratings. We compare them on fees, type of work and where they are available.
• We include platforms in our comparisons whether or not they have an affiliate programme.
• We highlight both the strengths and weaknesses of every platform we cover.
• We check fees and features against each platform's official pages and correct errors when we find them.

Disclosure Rules

Consumer rules in the Netherlands and the EU, and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines in the United States, require clear disclosure of paid relationships. At the moment there is nothing to disclose.

Platforms are listed in alphabetical order. Payments do not influence which platforms we write about or where they appear.

Advertising

SkillLinkup does not show advertisements at the moment. If that changes, ads will be clearly marked and kept separate from our editorial content.
